Privacy Policy

Overview

This policy explains what happens to your files and personal data when you use PDFVerse. We built most tools to process files locally in your browser specifically to minimize what we ever see or store.

Files processed in your browser

Tools marked "Processed locally in your browser" — including Merge, Split, Compress, image conversions, Watermark, Page Numbers, Crop, Protect and Unlock — read and transform your file entirely on your own device. These files are never transmitted to our servers.

Files processed on our servers

A small number of tools — OCR, PDF to Word/Excel/PowerPoint, and Repair — require heavier processing and are handled through our secure servers. Files sent for this processing are automatically deleted after a short retention window (typically within a few hours), used solely to complete your request, and never reviewed by a human or used for any other purpose.

Information we collect

We collect standard, anonymized analytics (pages visited, general location by country, device type) to understand how the site is used and to improve it. We do not sell personal data to third parties.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to remember settings like your light/dark mode preference, and limited analytics cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings at any time.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, including under GDPR (EU/UK) or CCPA (California). Contact us at hello@yourdomain.com to make a request.

Children's privacy

PDFVerse is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the "last updated" date above will reflect the most recent revision.
